L-ascorbic acid at 15%, buffered to pH 3.4 and stabilised with 0.5% ferulic acid and 1% tocopherol. Used every morning it supports an even-looking tone and the appearance of firmness, and it sits under sunscreen without pilling.
Load 2. A well-formulated ascorbic serum is acidic, and acidity is the reason this is not a load 0 product even though most people run it daily. Expect a brief tingle for the first week. If it stings past that, drop to alternate mornings.
It will darken from clear to pale amber over its life. That is oxidation and it is normal; discard it when it turns deep orange or brown, which for an opened bottle is usually around three months.

How to use
- Morning, on clean dry skin, before moisturiser. Four to five drops for the whole face.
- Always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Store closed, upright and out of direct light. Refrigeration is optional and slows the colour change.
Cautions
- Not for use on broken, freshly shaved or sunburnt skin.
- Do not layer on the same application as a strong acid or a retinoid — separate them by time of day.
- Patch-test first if your skin is reactive; a persistent sting past the first week means it is too strong for you at this strength.
