L-ascorbic acid at 20%, buffered to pH 3.2, with ferulic acid and tocopherol on the same stabilising system as Ascorbic 15. Past about 20% there is no further benefit worth having, so this is the strongest vitamin C we will make.
Load 3 rather than 2, and the extra point is the acidity, not the vitamin C. Most people do not need this — if Ascorbic 15 is comfortable and doing its job, staying there is the better routine.
It oxidises faster than the 15% for the same reason it works harder. Expect a shorter life once opened, and discard it when it turns deep orange.

How to use
- Morning, on clean dry skin, before moisturiser. Four drops for the whole face.
- Always follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
- Step up from Ascorbic 15 rather than starting here, and drop back if it stings past the first week.
Cautions
- Not a starting strength. Begin with Ascorbic 15.
- Not for use on broken, freshly shaved or sunburnt skin.
- Do not layer with an acid or a retinoid in the same application — separate them by time of day.
- Patch-test first. Reactive skin should not use this at all.
